Birthplace Kowloon Walled City, Hong Kong

King Lau portrayed a bouncer at the Mysteries Burlesque Club in the episode, "Ghosts in the Machine".

King Lau was born in Hong Kong and started life in the Kowloon Walled City. He immigrated with his family to Edmonton, Alberta, at an early age. His father was a steel worker while his mother sewed in a garment factory.

In university while working towards a goal of one day becoming a Religious Studies professor, he decided on another career path. King soon found himself training to become a professional wrestler in the legendary "Dungeon" of the Hart family in Calgary, Alberta. His debut match was at Stampede Wrestling founder, and wrestling icon, Stu Hart's 80th birthday event.

Along with his time as a pro wrestler he became involved in local indie films and other production projects which allowed him more outlets to perform. As the first and only full ethnic Chinese professional wrestler, a newspaper article was written about him in Hong Kong. This article led to being cast alongside martial arts master and Hong Kong screen legend Gordon Liu and popular Hong Kong actress Flora Chan in a drama series. This experience affirmed his inclination to be an actor.

King is also a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine and an acupuncturist.
