Zoe (name)

Zoe is a female first name which means "life" in Greek. From early times it was adopted by Hellenized Jews as a translation of EVE.

As Eve is the Mother of the Human Race in the Hebrew and Christian faiths, so too is Zoe the Mother of the Cylon Race.
